Everything in life is best done with intention.
With this you may rightfully ask, “what is your intention behind this blog.”

On a recent interview, the HR rep commented on my rather extensive resume. The remark was a positive one and it gave me cause for introspection. Not only did I then reflect on my career as a clinician, but on my thirty-some years of life.
What do I want to do with these experiences?
I’ve literally met and conversed with more people then I can count. Yet, all of them have made a mark on my heart, my mind, and my spirit. It might be surprising but no two of them were cut from the same cloth; I’ve worked with folks from nearly every race, many ethnicities, all major religions, uncountable professions (ones I didn’t know existed before the encounter), all ages, socioeconomic statuses, and abilities. I’ve sat with people who are about to give birth, those who are breathing their last breath, people who were the victims of unspeakable crimes, and those who have committed them. So, what do you all of that? The distilled information has to go somewhere.
With that said, the intention of this blog is help, in whatever it can, whenever if finds you.
Who am I?
I’m Rebekah. Thanks for stopping by my site! Self-introductions aren’t really ‘my thing.’ I’d rather show you who I am through my actions, or, in the case of this blog, through my words. That said, it might help you to know a little bit about myself. Bullet points are perfect for that!
- Licensed counselor in my home state of PA
- Board-certified music therapist
- Reiki practitioner (Level III)
- Yoga instructor
- Traveler/Curious by nature
- Bit of a nomad, but one who dreams of eventually planting roots – not just flora
- I’ve been described as a calming presence, raw, intense, perseverant, genuine, intuitive, compassionate and kind
- Lover of trees, roses, and rivers – side note: I kept the anonymity of my grad school research subjects by giving them each- not numbers- but the names of various rivers located in the northeast USA
- Animal lover (Dad is a veterinarian so it must be inherited)
- Gemini Sun AND moon (oh boy am I fun), Virgo rising, and Aries north node (should probably marry an Earth sign)
- If you prefer the Chinese zodiac, Fire Rabbit (just like my grandmother)
- Sinner and Saint (aka a Christian)
- Born going on thirty (according to the Fire Rabbit grandma) which makes me…a fair bit older than my birth certificate suggests
- INFJ (indeed, indeed!)
- Musician (piano, guitar, voice, etc. – but most recently the bagpipes)
- Preferences towards British humour (seriously, it’s better)
- Believer in the Constitution
- Optimistic-Realist
- Bit of everything rolled into one, really
Thanks again for stopping by the site! I hope you find something that awakens you here, or at least something that brightens your hour or even day.
God bless…
